Barbizon designs gardens inspired by natural enivornments. Leaning on the success of highly adapted native plants, we combine California flora and occasional exotics in designed plant communities that deliver year-round interest. Besides providing bountiful habitat for birds and invertebrates our gardens are dynamic plantings with high seasonality and low maintenance.
Where others use mulch, we use plants. We like to plant densely to eliminate weeds, while combining shrubs, herbaceous perennials, bulbs, and grasses for beautiful effect.
